My Daughter Paige, son Quade, our mini schnauzer Awnie, and my sister's dog Jack.

My name is Tausha Cooper.  This will be my 10th year teaching at Spring Creek Elementary.  I have taught 4th grade as well as Special Education at Spring Creek Elementary, but I would have to say my favorite is 5th grade.  I love teaching the curriculumn to the students.

I am married with two children.  My husband's name is John.  He is currently working for SRK Consulting.  I am not really sure what his official title is, but he is an engineer and has been the manager on several projects.  My daughter, Paige, is 17 and going to be a senior at Spring Creek High School.  She just recently obtained her driver's license and I believe it will be the death of me.  She loves shopping, reading, buying makeup and talking on the phone.  In a word, she is a girly girl.  My son, Quade, is 4 and still living in the terrible two's.  Actually, he is just all boy and very busy.  He is totally fascinated with anything that has to do with cars, trucks, tracktors, and trains.  He is really enjoying working in the garden this summer with his dad.  He will be attending preschool this fall at Creative Kids.

I have one older sister, Lynnette, who lives in Boise, ID.  She works as a supervisor in one of their various finance groups.  I love to spend time during the summer at her home.  One have one younger brother, Myron, who lives in Carlin, NV.  Myron and his wife JoLyn are both teachers at Carlin Combined Schools.  Myron is also the head football coach and softball coach.  I spend a lot of time traveling to Carlin to watch my baby brother coach his time.  Dennis, my nephew, is going to be a 7th grader in Carlin.  He is a total genius with computers and can just about figure out any problem you might have with one.

I was born and raised in Wells, NV.  Both of my parents still live in Wells in the same house I grew up in.  My mother, Annette, is the manager of the bank in Wells, NSB.  She has been there for over 30 years.  I believe the name of the bank has changed at least four times during her career, but she has stuck it out each time.  My father, Dennis, is retired from NVDOT.  However, he has not retired from working.  He spends lots of time helping neighbors and friends work thier ranches and farms.  He is truly happy when he is working with the cows and riding his horses.

I am a small town girl at heart and I love living and working in Elko County.  I feel this is the best place to raise my family.  I love to go out of town and visit, but there is nothing like coming home.
